a roller coaster of emotions

oh what a day ... twenty four hours of every emotion possible. at the beginning of the day i was excited, giddy and scared and by the end i was still scared but the floodgates opened and that crying thing happened again. geez. those darn things called hormones. so many things to say yet how to express them? only He alone knows. and really my heart is in it. i'm trying. i really am. i continue to pray for guidance and strength. anyway, on to happier thoughts. here are the pix from recharge.

ok ... here's the highlight and reg's reaction to another reg-ism moment. cristina was explaining the next added rule to the game. she said that she would ask a question and in addition to squeezing hands, we had to answer the question. cristina did say she would ask a "yes/no" question but then decided to change it up.
Cristina: "boy or girl"
Reg (excitedly) : "NO!"
all of us: WHAT?!?!?!?!?
and we all started cracking up - including Reg herself - who we see here, doubled over in laughter and/or embarassment. oh Reg.

she landed between reg and pia so they rock, paper, scissors'd for the partner ... reg lost and had to dance with cristina. they did a cute little choreographed number. the three people that don't dance (me, cristina and reg) got the dancing thing.
here's our next activity ... what was it called? "oh captain, my captain?" something like that.
i don't know if jerome is "arrrr"ing or he's "ahhh"ing because he lost to joe

and then he conquered pia ... if joe were filipino, we'd all go for him ... hahaha in jerome's words "even if joe wasn't filipino, we'd still go for him" oh, boys.

and look, we had a batch 26 reunion - hehe - does 4 out of 15 count? eileen, cristina, dana, me, lovette (our vice) and dex (our rector) with lara look - lovette and dexie match lara's outfit
we went to Mass at St. Denis and then met up with the Braganzas for dinner at Salo Salo. it was yummy filipino bbq grill.

then i met up with joey at his friend/cousin's house for a bbq. i asked him at the end of the night if he saw KJ in me and he said "you're my biggest source" thanks bub, i needed that. thanks to my other 2 AM phone call too! ur the best! muah!

august 20th - a day of anniversaries

something about august 20, 2005 that made lots of people decide to get married on the same day - so a year later, we celebrate their anniversaries!

yes i must admit that i am an email freak but i can't help it - sometimes it's faster that way because people respond faster. some people just aren't phone people
- all of our speakers are confirmed - yay! new and old faces - i'm so excited
- venue is confirmed even though they tried to boot us out
- other venue is confirmed as well
- we've lost another girl - but she was only on for a day so 13 seems to be the magic number.
-- spfx stuff to be made but should be done by the end of the week
- asking for prayers for this upcoming 10 days. they're going to be long. and yes the emails will continue to come. can't wait

francia's sweatshop

so francia ran her sweatshop on sunday - aka SPFX workshop - at Analyn's house. it was really fun and james, analyn's husband, supplied us with yummy lunch and dinner - he's an awesome cook! and we welcomed posh to the family. this is the boxer that analyn bought that afternoon! isn't she adorable? this is her and cristina. analyn already had a dog named beckham and this is posh - get it? david bekham and posh spice. cute huh? anyway, this is the sweatshop pictures.
jelyn smiles because she does not yet know the tight leash that francia keeps on her workers. she thought she got a nickel an hour but we got paid nothing. just kidding.

mom and annie's birthdays

my niece turned 14 on thursday and my mom turned 50-something on saturday so my sister organized a birthday / pool party to celebrate the day. it was potluck and i was in charge of the cake so i ordered a coldstone chocolate ice cream with chocolate flakes and devils food cake. it was yummy. so we moved all the stuff out to the pool house and started our birthday celebration.
